Not even one hundred yards from our home is a well maintained, wee bitty park that we enjoy taking the kids to. And I just love that as an adult, I get to end sentences with a preposition and Dr. Dwyer can’t correct me. According to the neighborhood watch dog, drug deals occasionally go down near the tennis courts at night, but during the day of any given weekend or on most afternoons, you can find a family from our socioeconomically diverse neighborhood having a picnic there or the laughter of children echoing off the jungle gym. On Saturday afternoon, it was the laughter of our kids that tickled the air.
