Sea World season passes: $138
Gas to get to San Antonio and back: $47

Grandma’s homemade tortillas on a Saturday morning, playing with cousins, meals with grandparents, lots of bubbles, lots and lots of walking, and swimming in the back yard: priceless.

I don’t usually comment, but I just wanted to tell you I admire your partner’s tan-line. It’s the best I’ve seen yet!!!

You had me at “homemade tortillas”! After living in the land of Utah for 7 years, then returning “home” to Texas, there is NOTHING as satisfying as homemade tortillas. Dang, now I’m hungry! Can you have your mom send me some? lol

Hey girl! I’ve been a bad blog buddy, but wanted to pop on and tell you the kiddos are so precious! They have grown so much:) I was surprised when I read they were in different rooms- how is that going? Sounds like if effected you more than them:) I hope all is well! Hugs and kisses from Kentucky:)

So cute and I also would like some of the homemade tortillas. Did she teach you the recipe as well?

@Deanna – and it’s only MAY!!! You need sunglasses to look at those feet come late summer. The feet of a golf professional!
@tammom and meg – Seems I can only get her to make them when we’re there visiting, but now I have the kids to manipulate her. BWAAHHAHAHAHHA!!! I DO know how to make them, but, like sandwiches, they always taste better when someone else makes them.

When my husband was a prof at SWTSU (now Texas State), we had a lovely lady in San Marcos who made us homemade tortillas weekly. Now, we live 10 miles from Medina and there’s NOTHING there, and no place to get any unless we drive to Kerrville (and then they’re not homemade, just Mamacita’s). I “know” how to make them, but they never turn out right – bummer every time (and after you’ve anticipated them and made them, it’s so upsetting to have them not turn out right)! I know when we lived in Utah, my MIL came up every 3 months and we were just happy to get HEB tortillas from her!

Rachel; your kids are so so cute! Seems like Harper has Levi’s attitude! You had better pay attention when he needs it, but his smile will melt your heart. And count me in for the homemade totillas. Nobody in my family makes them, but when we move back to Texas, I’m going to make Lori learn how!
